Hotel Metropolitan Sendai serves Halal-friendly menus

On November 6, a seminar on expanding the market of processed marine products was held at Hotel Metropolitan Sendai. At the seminar attended by some 20 people who work for processed marine product industry, a panel discussion regarding Halal business took place. Mohammad Shamin, an owner of a Halal restaurant in Tokyo, Hiroshi Aoi from Koyo Trading, Ltd., and Tadashi Suzuki, the executive chef of Hotel Metropolitan Sendai, were invited as panelists. Keigo Nakagawa, a member of Japan Halal Association, moderated the panel discussion.
Hotel Metropolitan Sendai serves Halal-friendly menus, and Halal-friendly Japanese food-tasting event was also conducted at this occasion.
Marine industry is Japan’s key food industry; and now, it has taken a step toward further Muslim accommodation.
