Yamada town in Iwate Prefecture is the top producer of mushrooms in Tohoku region.

There are only three mushroom growers with the title of "Mushroom Master" in Japan, and, believe it or not, two of them are in Yamada town. Mr. Haga, one of the two Mushroom Masters, produces brand shiitake mushroom called "Donko."
Because it's grown with log cultivation, the shitake is juicy and has rich taste with strong flavor. This is dried shiitake, so you can enjoy it any time of the year with your favorite dishes. The season of mushrooms such as Shiitake and Matsutake is approaching. Don't miss this opportunity!
