Egunchi Dango Shop at Nagaoka, Niigata is a great place for dango and
dango making workshop experience. However, Eguchi Dango Shop is not
limited to dango. You can also browse a variety of snacks that are
featured at its souvenir shop. The special thing about them is that they
are made using high quality rice flour from Niigata. For example, I bought
this chimaki (ちまき) which is sticky rice wrapped in bamboo leaves in
triangle shape. The rice is particularly tasty and becomes even better
when eaten with kinako (soybean powder) that comes with it. So, not only
for its dango, Eguchi Dango Shop is also a great place for you to grab
great souvenirs in Niigata.
