Assalamualaikum and hello guys.
Have you ever eaten a fresh natural real wasabi? I have gotten a chance to taste one at Taiko, a soba restaurant in Yamagata. As shown in the picture, this wasabi is from the Higashine mountain in Yamagata. You simply need to grate the root of the wasabi plant to eat it. The taste was smoother and doesn't have lingering burning taste like the usual wasabi paste served in a packet. It's a wonderful new experience to enjoy wasabi for me so try it when you have the chance.
