Akiu and the Hot spring

Assalamualaykum,
Hello everyone, in today's post I would like to share my experience in Akiu and the Hot spring (Japanese people call Onsen) there with my friends and family.
As we know, Akiu is one of Japan's most famous Onsen (Akiu has more than 1000 years of history) and we are lucky that it's in Tohoku region (Miyagi).
Initially, I was in a doubt that Muslims could try the Onsen in Japan, because we have the etiquette to cover (as we know, onsen in Japan is very "open").
However, one place called “Iwanumaya” in Akiu is more than happy to welcome Muslims to try their private Onsen (Separated with public onsen), and you can reserve it just for you!
The private Onsen is large; the water was quiet hot for me and actually was 45 degrees!! You need to do a lot of preparation before enter.
Although it was quite interesting experienced for us, we were so lucky to be able to try Onsen in Japan (without the need to break the rule). Alhamdullilah, we can enjoy Onsen at peace insyaALLAH.
So, if you consider trying Onsen, please don’t hesitate to call or visit Iwanumaya.
