As with other prefectures in Japan, Akita is no stranger to local secrets. Away from the city streets, framed by tall trees and pebbled road, water springs from the ground and provide nourishment to frequenting locals who come to collect more of its refreshing water. The spring water is about fifteen minutes’ walk from Akita International University, the walk there itself is revitalizing. And having the cool cup of water once you reached the destination wraps this up as an eco-experience.
